This is an opportunity to advance your skills with one of the best professional fly designers and tyers anywhere. Landon's the designer behind Mayer's Mini Leech--many of us know this as a brutally effective fly--as well as several other highly effective patterns that are simple to tie and highly effective including his Mini Leech Jig, Tails Up Trico, Titan Tube Midge, and more.
With more than 20 years guiding full time on the South Platte Landon is more than just one of the best guides in Colorado—he is a first class instructor, author, and fly creator who teaches and demonstrates his techniques and on-river knowledge to fellow anglers. He has developed patterns and innovative strategies for sighting, hooking, and landing selective trout. What truly sets him apart is his passion for teaching.
Landon is the author of numerous books including Guide Flies--which he will build this "Easy Step Flies to Catch Challenging Fish" clinic around. Landon will have these books available for purchase (and will sign).
Bring your vise, basic tying tools, and appropriate thread to tie along...or just come watch and take notes. AFF provides the other needed materials. Participants will be able to see a live, magnified video of the Landon's fly throughout.
Event held at the Hospitality House, in North Little Rock's Burns Park, 402 W Military Road. Members and guests welcome. A special dinner presentation follows (separate ticket required).
