Meet the AFF Board

Arkansas Fly Fishers is led by volunteers who organize our programs, outings, conservation work, education, and member activities. Meet the people helping guide the club and strengthen Arkansas’ fly-fishing community.

Executive Officers

Tillman Pittman

President

Tillman joined the Arkansas Fly Fishers in 2005 and has served on the board since 2012. He enjoys fishing for trout and saltwater species, but his greatest passion is pursuing smallmouth bass in the Ozarks and Ouachitas...and chain pickerel. Tillman values the friendships, shared experiences, and opportunities to give back that come through fly fishing.

Kenley Money

Vice President

Kenley joined the Arkansas Fly Fishers in 2010 and has served on the board since 2011. Her love of fishing began with a cane pole and cork on a small creek in Montgomery County, where her catches were eagerly welcomed by the family’s barn cats. Since taking up fly fishing in 2010, she has fished from Vermont to Montana, but the Little Red River remains her favorite.

Ron Blome

Secretary

Ron began fly fishing in 2010 and joined the Arkansas Fly Fishers in 2015. He enjoys Arkansas’ trout tailwaters, pursuing smallmouth bass on the Buffalo River, and exploring mountain streams in the Appalachians. A freelance video journalist whose work included The Weather Channel, Ron also shares his fishing adventures through videos on YouTube.

Mark Wingfield

Treasurer

Mark joined the Arkansas Fly Fishers in 1991 and has served as both vice president and president. An enthusiastic fly tyer and rod builder, he has pursued fish around the world but especially enjoys small streams and Arkansas’ trout waters. His love of the outdoors also includes camping, canoeing, kayaking, and cycling. Mark and his wife, Gena, have two children.

Board Members and Officers

John Shiver

Board Member and Conservation Officer

John is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys fishing, hunting, canoeing, and sports of all kinds. As AFF’s conservation officer, he is committed to protecting the watersheds and natural environments that make these activities possible. His trout fishing travels have taken him to Colorado, Utah, and Montana, including the opportunity to represent Team Arkansas in the America’s Cup fly-fishing competition in Colorado.

David Gardner

Board Member and Membership Officer

David discovered fly fishing through his first Arkansas Fly Fishers meeting in June 2016. The encouragement and knowledge shared by fellow members inspired him to “fly fish it forward” by helping newcomers learn the sport. He is interested in trout conservation and protecting Arkansas’ natural resources. Outside fly fishing, David enjoys duck hunting and has a particular fondness for black Labs.

David Watson

Board Member and Outings Coordinator

David grew up fishing for smallmouth bass at his family’s cabin on Big Piney Creek before discovering fly fishing on the Little Red River. He rejoined AFF in 2021 after retiring and now combines his love of travel and fishing by coordinating club outings. His adventures have taken him across the country, with Michigan’s Pere Marquette River a particular favorite for steelhead fishing.

Directors at Large

Ashley “Ash” Money

Board Member

Ashley “Ash” Money began fly fishing in 2007 after walking into the Ozark Angler Fly Shop looking for conventional fishing equipment. Just a month later, he caught his first fish on a fly rod—a 13-inch brown trout on a crisp fall day in West Virginia—and he was hooked. Ash joined Arkansas Fly Fishers in 2009 and has served on the board since 2010.

Cheri McKelvey

Board Member

Cheri joined Arkansas Fly Fishers in 2022 after taking a Fly Fishing 101 class. A fellow member later invited her on a guided trip, where catching her first trout on a fly rod became an unforgettable experience. Fly fishing now joins traveling, hiking, and kayaking among her favorite activities. Cheri is also co-owner of an aviation company, bringing a connection to flight both on and off the water.

A. B. Naylor

Board Member

A. B. began attending AFF meetings in 2008 and soon became involved in board service, including terms as secretary and treasurer. Originally from Helena, he moved to Little Rock in 1997 and works as an optometrist at Arkansas Children’s Hospital. Alongside fly fishing, he enjoys road, mountain, and gravel cycling, as well as golf and exploring craft beer.
