AFF is planning a trip to north Georgia's Soque and Etowah Rivers February 26 - March 2, 2026. AFF Outings Coordinator David Watson has arranged access to private waters through Bowman Fly Fishing about 1.5 hours north of Atlanta. The Soque River is known for its massive trout and anglers often get shots at a few 18 inch or better trout. We are sharing this now as there is an opportunity to arrange for discounted access between now and Christmas (details below).
Three days of guided fishing includes one day on the Dragonfly Trophy section of the Soque River, one day fishing private waters on the Etowah River and one day float fishing on one of three streams (final section TBD on water conditions).
