- A participant may enter as many flies as desired, but a participant may only win with one fly each month.
- The fly must be tied by the participant that is entering the fly in the contest.
- The tyer must use materials/technique as per the fly description.
- Each person entering the contest will receive one point for each month a fly is entered. Only one point is awarded, no matter how many flies are submitted.
- Points for winning will be as follows:
- 4 points -1st place
- 3 points -2nd place
- 2 points -3rd place.
- If there is more than one winner per place, the winner for that place will receive the points as designated, but there will be no winner for the next place. For example, if there are 2 first place winners, there will be no second place winner. There would be a third place winner.
- A prize will be given for the first place winner each month. The prize is determined by the AFF Board.
- The Tie Breaker fly, which will be judged in October, will only be used in the event of a tie.
- A participant may submit a fly of the month without being present.
- The monthly winners will be announced on www.ArkansasFlyFishers.com.
- The contest will determine AFF Tyer of the Year and the first and second runner up. All awards will be announced at the annual banquet. First place award is a plaque and $100. Second place is $50.00 and Third place is $25.00.
